De Gruyter and MUG Main Library offers free trial access to 21 medical journals.

Access available is at MUG's network and by proxy server.

Information for the first-year students of ED

We kindly inform, that MUG student's card allows to borrow the books from the Library.

Ordering the books for borrowing

Borrowing the books will be possible through the Online Library Catalogue from September 28th, 2018, 3 p.m., when the patrons' accounts will be activated.

Library training online - the obligatory course

The Library training online is the obligatory course for all the first-year English Division students. The subject and the online test will be available from October 1st, 2018 under the Services/didactic classes tab.
Students are obliged to complete the training and test till November 16th, 2018.

The course consists of two parts:

First part in open access contains the basic information on Library structure, regulations and rules of using Library resources and services, mostly the ways of searching for and ordering literature.

Part two contains the final test of 20 questions to complete online. First name, surname and the number of student’s card are required to log into the test. To pass the test one needs to provide more than 60% correct answers to the questions.

We would like to invite you to study the Library training online - a virtual meeting with the Library can make searching and ordering the literature significantly easier!

Taylor & Francis Journals in subscription 2018


MUG's Library offers a new collection of e-journals available at Taylor & Francis Online platform.

The subscription in 2018  includes collections:

  • Medical Library (205 tytułów) 
  • Psycholog (104 tytuły).

Martindale: The Complete Drug Reference - new database!

The Main Library offers access to  The Martindale: The Complete Drug Reference published by Pharmaceutical Press.

Martindale provides reliable, unbiased and evaluated information on drugs and medicines used throughout the world. Based on published information and extensively referenced, Martindale develops as the body of knowledge on existing drugsgrows; the most clinically relevant and appropriate information is evaluated and selected from reliable published sources.

Regulations of collecting personal data in Medical University of Gdańsk

On 27 April 2016 Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Union and of Council came into force. It relates to data processing for natural persons and the freedom of movement of such data. In the light of this and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), the Main Library would like to draw your attention to the following:

1. The administrator of your personal data is The Medical University of Gdańsk based in Gdańsk, Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie 3A, 80-210 Gdańsk,

2. The Data Protection Inspector at The Medical University of Gdańsk is Piotr Małecki (iod@gumed.edu.pl),

3. Your personal data will be processed using the Tricity Libraries IT System (Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music, Gdynia Maritime University, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Medical University of Gdansk, Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport, European Solidarity Centre) in order to enable the use of library resources on the basis of art. 6 par. 1 lit. A of the general regulation of personal data of 27 April 2016,

4. Your personal data will not be disclosed to other entities, except for entities authorized under the law, debt collection companies or companies supporting IT services,

5. Your personal data will be kept for a period required by law,

6. You have access to the content of your data and the right to demand its rectification. You have the right to remove data or limit its use. Further you have the right to transfer data and to raise an objection on how your data is processed. You may withdraw your legal consent for the use of your data at any time,

7. You have the right to make a complaint to the Office for Personal Data Protection if your complaint is justified and the administrator is found to be in breach of the general regulation of personal data of 27 April 2016,

8. Providing personal data is voluntary, however, the refusal to provide them may result in the refusal to provide the service.
