MOZILLA FIREFOX

Set up proxy manually:

  1. run the Internet browser

  2. click on the Open menu icon

  3. from the menu choose Options
    (on Mac OS X click the Firefox menu and select Preferences)

  4. select Network Settings, then Settings

  5. tick Automatic proxy configuration URL and type: http://proxy.biblioteka.gumed.edu.pl/proxy.pac

  6. click OK and then OK again to save the changes
     

GOOGLE CHROME

Set up proxy manually:

  1. run the Internet browser

  2. click on the Customize and control Google Chrome icon

  3. click Settings, then choose Advanced  

  1. click System and choose Open proxy settings button

  2. in a new window click on LAN Settings

  3. in another new window, in section Automatic configuration tick Use automatic configuration script box and type: http://proxy.biblioteka.gumed.edu.pl/proxy.pac

  4. click OK and then OK again to save the changes
     

INTERNET EXPLORER

Set up proxy manually:

using LAN:

  1. run the Internet browser

  2. from the menu choose Tools > Internet Options

  3. choose the Connections tab and click LAN Settings

  4. in section Automatic configuration tick Use automatic configuration script box and type: http://proxy.biblioteka.gumed.edu.pl/proxy.pac

  5. click OK and then OK again to save the changes
     

OPERA

Set up proxy manually:

  1. run the Internet browser

  2. from the menu choose Tools > Preferences

  3. choose Advanced tab, select Network and click Proxy Servers button

  4. tick Automatic proxy configuration URL and type: http://proxy.biblioteka.gumed.edu.pl/proxy.pac

  5. click OK and then OK again to save the changes
     

SAFARI

Set up proxy manually:

for Windows:

  1. run the Internet browser

  2. from the menu choose Edit > Preferences

  3. choose Advanced tab and click PROXIES: change settings

  4. in the Internet Options window click LAN Settings

  5. in section Automatic configuration tick Use automatic configuration script box and type: http://proxy.biblioteka.gumed.edu.pl/proxy.pac

  6. click OK and then OK again to save the changes
     

for Mac OS:

  1. run the Internet browser

  2. from the menu choose Preferences

  3. choose Advanced tab and click PROXIES: change settings

  4. in the Internet Options window click LAN Settings

  1. from the menu choose System Preferences

  2. choose Network icon

  3. click Configure

  4. choose Proxies

  5. select Using a PAC file

  6. type http://proxy.biblioteka.gumed.edu.pl/proxy.pac

  7. save the changes


If you use another browser, you should follow the instruction below:

  1. from your browser menu select the item associated with its settings (such as Preferences or Internet options

  2. select Network, Connections or Advanced

  3. select PROXY Settings

  4. in section Automatic configuration tick Use automatic configuration script box and type: http://proxy.biblioteka.gumed.edu.pl/proxy.pac

  5. save the changes


Note: Sometimes the configuration of proxy settings requires the removal of temporary internet files and cache to be cleared.

To do so:

  1. run the Internet browser

  2. from the menu choose Tools > Internet Options

  3. choose General tab and click Delete files

  4. select Delete all offline content and click OK button

ANDROID

  1. run Settings and select Wi-Fi

  2. long press on connected network, context menu will appear

  3. select Modify network configuration

  4. mark Show advanced options check box

  5. scroll to proxy settings, select Manual

  6. enter proxy host name: proxy.biblioteka.gumed.edu.pl

  7. enter proxy port number: 9600.

  8. save changes.

Regulations of collecting personal data in Medical University of Gdańsk

On 27 April 2016 Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Union and of Council came into force. It relates to data processing for natural persons and the freedom of movement of such data. In the light of this and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), the Main Library would like to draw your attention to the following:

1. The administrator of your personal data is The Medical University of Gdańsk based in Gdańsk, Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie 3A, 80-210 Gdańsk,

2. The Data Protection Inspector at The Medical University of Gdańsk is Piotr Małecki (iod@gumed.edu.pl),

3. Your personal data will be processed using the Tricity Libraries IT System (Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music, Gdynia Maritime University, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Medical University of Gdansk, Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport, European Solidarity Centre) in order to enable the use of library resources on the basis of art. 6 par. 1 lit. A of the general regulation of personal data of 27 April 2016,

4. Your personal data will not be disclosed to other entities, except for entities authorized under the law, debt collection companies or companies supporting IT services,

5. Your personal data will be kept for a period required by law,

6. You have access to the content of your data and the right to demand its rectification. You have the right to remove data or limit its use. Further you have the right to transfer data and to raise an objection on how your data is processed. You may withdraw your legal consent for the use of your data at any time,

7. You have the right to make a complaint to the Office for Personal Data Protection if your complaint is justified and the administrator is found to be in breach of the general regulation of personal data of 27 April 2016,

8. Providing personal data is voluntary, however, the refusal to provide them may result in the refusal to provide the service.
