Launch of a Self-Service Book Drop Box at the Non-Invasive Medicine Centre
|
As part of the ongoing project “MUG Without Barriers”, co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus under the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 programme, a self-service book drop box has been purchased. It allows users to return books borrowed from the MUG Main Library 24 hours a day.

It enables book returns without the need to visit the library, for example during breaks between classes on the premises of the university hospital. No student ID or library card is required to return items. Placing the book on the special shelf automatically triggers RFID label recognition and opens the lid, through which the book should be inserted. The removal of the book from the user’s library account is recorded immediately in the library system.
