Journal Impact Factor for the Polish Heart Journal – Kardiologia Polska
In response to questions regarding the current Journal Impact Factor (JIF) for the Polish Heart Journal – Kardiologia Polska, we would like to share the following official statement from Clarivate, the provider of the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) database:
In the case of Polish Heart Journal – Kardiologia Polska (ISSN 0022-9032), an error occurred in the calculation of the Journal Impact Factor (JIF). Due to the journal’s title change in 2022, articles published in 2023 were not correctly identified as belonging to the new title and, consequently, were not included in the denominator of this year’s Journal Impact Factor calculation. The correct current JIF for the journal is 4.4. The correction will be implemented in the JCR database in September. In the meantime, a notice explaining the issue will be added to the JCR database. This is a database error that should not have occurred, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. We would also like to add that the Ministry of Science and Higher Education received from us a version of the journal list containing the corrected JIF for the purposes of preparing the new List of Scientific Journals and Reviewed Materials from International Conferences.
We would also like to inform you that the correct Journal Impact Factor has already been assigned to this journal in the Bibliografia GUMed (Bibliography of the MUG) database.
