Library opening hours during Easter time

Moving MUG's Main Library website to a new server

Dear Sirs,

We are pleased to inform that the website of the Main Library of the Medical University of Gdańsk has been moved to a new server, resulting in removing message that our website is potentially unsafe.

We have taken such actions for your safety. However, please understand  that in the coming weeks, there may appear individual errors on our Library's website, which will be corrected by IT specialists on a current basis.

Attention students who failed the Information Literacy test!

Dear Students,

The MUG’s Main Library informs that there will be the third term you can pass the Information Literacy subject. The test will open on February 15 at 9 a.m. and close on February 19 at 2 p.m. This is the deadline and the last chance to pass the subject.

The training content and test are available online through the Library website

Open Medicine 2021 Online Conference

We invite you to a conference summarizing the implementation of projects created under the Digital Poland Operational Programme. Measure 2.3 POPC, Sub-measure 2.3.1, Type II of the project: Digital sharing of scientific resources:
 

 

The conference will take place on 21-22 January 2021, on the first day it will be conducted in Polish, and on the second day in English.

Participation in the conference is free of charge. Registered participants will receive links to the chosen sessions on the Zoom platform by e-mail one day before the event at the latest.

Dimensions – a next-generation platform for researchers

We are pleased to invite you to use the free version of Dimensions database - a next-generation linked research information system which contains more than 100 million publications. They are freely available for personal, non-commercial use, together with rich contextual information.

Dimensions also contains over 4 billion citations, information on over 1.5 million datasets, 5 million grants, over 50 millions patents and nearly 600.000 clinical trials.

The free version of this database includes publication records and datasets, but the rest of the items are available only after subscribing.
   
   

Regulations of collecting personal data in Medical University of Gdańsk

On 27 April 2016 Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Union and of Council came into force. It relates to data processing for natural persons and the freedom of movement of such data. In the light of this and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), the Main Library would like to draw your attention to the following:

1. The administrator of your personal data is The Medical University of Gdańsk based in Gdańsk, Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie 3A, 80-210 Gdańsk,

2. The Data Protection Inspector at The Medical University of Gdańsk is Piotr Małecki (iod@gumed.edu.pl),

3. Your personal data will be processed using the Tricity Libraries IT System (Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music, Gdynia Maritime University, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Medical University of Gdansk, Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport, European Solidarity Centre) in order to enable the use of library resources on the basis of art. 6 par. 1 lit. A of the general regulation of personal data of 27 April 2016,

4. Your personal data will not be disclosed to other entities, except for entities authorized under the law, debt collection companies or companies supporting IT services,

5. Your personal data will be kept for a period required by law,

6. You have access to the content of your data and the right to demand its rectification. You have the right to remove data or limit its use. Further you have the right to transfer data and to raise an objection on how your data is processed. You may withdraw your legal consent for the use of your data at any time,

7. You have the right to make a complaint to the Office for Personal Data Protection if your complaint is justified and the administrator is found to be in breach of the general regulation of personal data of 27 April 2016,

8. Providing personal data is voluntary, however, the refusal to provide them may result in the refusal to provide the service.
