We invite you to the Ovid Webinar LWW Health Library. In this session, Michael Fanning from Ovid’s Training Department will provide you with a systematic introduction to LWW Health Library. Focussing initially on the module Medical Education, the session show you how to locate and search for relevant medical and clinical content as well as supplementing, additional materials useful for teaching, learning, and practice. Using this "content and additional materials" approach, the session will then explore a selection of the practice area specific modules. In conclusion the session will show you how text and images can be re-used as well as how learning can be enhanced using the practice area specific self-assessment tests.

Referring to the Decree no. 36/2020 of the Rector of the Medical University of Gdańsk dated 10th April 2020 on the MUG's operation during the pandemic of COVID-19, the Library will be closed for users until further notice.

At the same time, we herewith inform you that:

  • the due date of items which falls within the Library closing time, has been automatically renewed;

  • all fines related to not returning the borrowed items, which due date falls within the Library closing time, have been suspended;

  • students' leaving cards will not be signed during that time (if necessary, the information about no arrears to the Library will be send via e-mail to the Dean's Office);

  • we encourage you to use the remote access via proxy server to Library e-resources.

New European Pharmacopoeia Online, ed. 10, 2020 is now available!

NOTE! The access to publications is now possible for only 200 users.

In order to use the current edition, please:

  • create an individual account, providing the email address from the domain gumed.edu.pl;

  • and send the registered username - email address to biblbazy@gumed.edu.pl to authorize, providing the subject of the email: "Activation of the European Pharmacopoeia".


Then the user will receive an automatic confirmation to his email address that their account was activated.

McGraw-Hill and MUG Main Library offers free trial access to An@tomedia, a comprehensive, self-paced learning program that explores anatomy from four different perspectives teaching how the body is constructed (from regions and systems) and how you can deconstruct the body (with dissection and imaging techniques).

The program is arranged in nine modules (general anatomy, back, abdomen, thorax, pelvis, upper limb, lower limb, neck and head) and involves over 5000 images, 70 videos and 2000 slides that cover detailed serial dissections of real human bodies and clinical procedures in all areas.

Regulations of collecting personal data in Medical University of Gdańsk

On 27 April 2016 Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Union and of Council came into force. It relates to data processing for natural persons and the freedom of movement of such data. In the light of this and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), the Main Library would like to draw your attention to the following:

1. The administrator of your personal data is The Medical University of Gdańsk based in Gdańsk, Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie 3A, 80-210 Gdańsk,

2. The Data Protection Inspector at The Medical University of Gdańsk is Piotr Małecki (iod@gumed.edu.pl),

3. Your personal data will be processed using the Tricity Libraries IT System (Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music, Gdynia Maritime University, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Medical University of Gdansk, Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport, European Solidarity Centre) in order to enable the use of library resources on the basis of art. 6 par. 1 lit. A of the general regulation of personal data of 27 April 2016,

4. Your personal data will not be disclosed to other entities, except for entities authorized under the law, debt collection companies or companies supporting IT services,

6. You have access to the content of your data and the right to demand its rectification. You have the right to remove data or limit its use. 7. You have the right to make a complaint to the Office for Personal Data Protection if your complaint is justified and the administrator is found to be in breach of the general regulation of personal data of 27 April 2016,
